This is an example of an art project that I designed and built during the recession. At the time, there were many empty lots whose previous uses had already been torn down, but whose future had been put on hold. I took my design and construction skills and built interventions for the city. This one was called air.stream. It was a tiny parklet that took air, something that is around us always, and turned it into a design feature. I placed it on an empty lot in Capitol Hill. It was an oasis in a gravel desert and attracted many passersby.
